Nadal reclaims his favorite French Open Title

After a break last year, yet again Nadal claims his favorite French Open Title.. Once again Nadal proved himself as the true clay king, as he finishes the dramatic display against Sweden's Robin Soderling 6-4,6-2,6-4 to win the title.

Robin Soderling really did have a good tournament in this French Open but all that lasted only till the final match started here in Roland Garros Stadium in Paris.

It was my dad's bday and hence we went to temple with family so that i missed to watch the match though i was free in my semester holidays. But without seeing any news channel, i started watching the rerelay the next day, with an expectation to find how the match turns at which moment. But i was disappointed that it din't turn at all. It was completely in Nadal's favor. I wouldn't have watched the rerelay if i had seen the news early.

I think Soderling was not fit to play against Nadal in finals. Soderling has aggressive play and strong fore hand. Nadal is more athletic and has answers for his fore hand. Soderling played hard tennis while nadal played classic one. Its very disappointing to end game in 3 sets. Federer should have been there and game will be interesting and nail bitting but this year Federer gave up so easily to Soderling.

Soderling's tricks of aggressive play really did work against Federer. Statistics says he won most of his points
in first and second serve in that particular match. But Nadal did have answer for that aggression with his classic play.

Brava Nadal Brava..

Williams' Week

Serena and Venus completed a 'Williams Slam' of four consecutive grand slam doubles titles when they beat Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik 6-2, 6-3 on Friday to win the French Open.

The Americans wrapped up victory in 73 minutes to win their 12th grand slam title together, adding the trophy to the ones they won at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open last year and at the Australian Open in January.

The top seeds are only the third doubles partnership in the history of the women's game to hold all four grand slam titles at the same time.

They will become the top-ranked doubles pairing on Monday, making Serena Williams only the sixth woman to hold top spot in the singles and doubles at the same time.
